damn i love this magazine

there is an indescribable sense of happiness that this magazine brings to me.  even if it were only a cover it would still be my favorite magazine always.  this little blog post at creative review gives you a hint as to why i love this publication so much!

here is the stash of wallpapers i keep at my desk.  aren't they pretty?

one day i'm going to gather all of my piles and make myself a desk like this one...

dear photograph

I love this idea!  Strangers upload photos of an old photo in front of the location where it was originally taken.  Make sure to read the messages below each post.  This is definitely something I would like to do!

Bees'netta

Chicago Does it again!  Beautiful designs by a talented Chicago Designer...

The cheesiest!

Southern Mac & Cheese truck for lunch today!  White truffle with smoked gouda, sundried tomato with caramelized onions and white cheddar, or corned beef hash with rye breadcrumbs and swiss?  Life is tuff when faced with such difficult decisions!

sashay shante

Yokomono Studio is donating 100% of the profits from the sale of their Sankaku lavender sachets to Japan earthquake and tsunami relief funds. They smell pretty AND it's an easy way of helping an important cause.

Dress up

I want it, I need it, I gotta have it...

Arrested Development save the day again

I have been working none stop for the past 2 weeks, and still the light at the end of the tunnel only lives in my hopeful imagination. When I came across these Arrested Development files I could not help but take a break to laugh.  Maybe a bit too long and hard, due to the fatigue, but it brought a much needed smile to my face indeed!  Happy Wednesday!

From the desk of

I love Joshua Longbrakes work, and when I came across this photo I thought it bared an amazing resemblance to the place I sit and work every day. What most people would call a desk, but I have not seen mine in so long, I can not be entirely sure it's still even under there.

Vivian Maier

I'm in love with the work of Vivian Maier! I'm also intriged by her life story and how her work was discovered.  I can't stop looking at these photos.  Check out this video to find out more about her. Images via Vivian Maier-Her Discovered Work.

Barn Heaven

My mom is building her own little slice of heaven on a foresty (not a word, but it should be) plot in Kansas.  I'm always on the prowl for some good inspiration imagery.  I think I hit the jackpot with this one...

Snow Day

Worst blizzard since 1967!  Everyone meet me in Humboldt park for the best snow day celebration ever!

Get ready for your world to change forever

Your astrological sign may be changing.  Are you who you thought you were?

I love these beautifully whimsical photos published in the Vogue UK.  Images via jezebel.

The big pizza debate

You know New York and Chicago, but do you know Pear?!
I'm not a fan of blue cheese so I might substitute a goat cheese, or perhaps a sheep's milk feta.  But really if there are caramelized onions involved you can get me to eat (or at least try) just about anything...

Grandmas are Super Heros

When French photographer Sacha Goldberger realized his 91 year old Hungarian grandmother Frederika was lonely and might be suffering from depression, he proposed an unusual course of therapy: a superhero photoshoot. I'm wondering if this guys is taking on new best friends...

Diorama-rama

Artist Lori Nix’s eerily cool photographs of vacated spaces imagine a world without people.  Each shot is of a hand-built diorama!

Happy New Year!

It's going to be an amazing year, I can feel it!
